I was actually looking forward to getting a monitor so I could see my son at night. When I started applying it the monitor had lines running by means of the picture and I couldn't hear something. The manufacturer stated that it does not function when you have a wireless network. I was certainly disappointed so I sent it back. I bought the Handheld Color Video Monitor by Summer Infant. It functions superb with my wireless network and my two.four Ghz phones. It doesn't work especially excellent with other 900Mhz phones or controls according to the manual.

I think it would be far more useful if the switches on the camera were on the back or top rather of the bottom so you don't have to choose up the camera everytime to turn it off or alter the setting - or even greater if you could control the camera (on/off/night vision) ideal from the monitor :)
You have to keep it plugged in if you want to use it all night. (not sure about the auto setting - don't definitely use it)
If you're looking for a child monitor, this is a outstanding one particular - I bought it with an added camera. :)
