Consumer Evaluations
This technique has wonderful range and acceptable audio/video signals. The surprising factor about it is the limitations it has for a $300 program...
I have way more than 1 youngster and wanted to obtain a second camera so I can switch in between channels and view every youngster (a reasonable expectation due to the fact lots of lower expense systems offer you an extra camera option to do just that). Here is the response offered by their consumer service: "There is not a second camera choice for that program. It has two channel choice to reduce interference" (huh? you have two channels but can't use a second camera?) This seems rather brief sighted to me unless their expected demographic is only for persons with one youngster, in particular for the price of this system.
An additional oddity is the use NiCad batteries in the portable monitor, Nicads have well documented memory impact issues if you do not let them to totally discharge prior to recharging them, this is a further inconvenience that I am not confident why they chose this rather of NIMH or LI-Ion batteries.
I suppose I can live with the battery problem but the camera problem is producing me think of returning this product for yet another that will fit my desires.
Highly fantastic monitor.
Pros:
(+) Truly like how it consists of two monitors (so two people in different areas can each monitor our son).
(+) Like how the handheld video monitor can be connected and displayed on huge Television
Cons:
(-) Some static interference once in a even though
(-) Handheld video monitor when not connected with the ac plug will go into sleep mode following a couple of minutes (not audio, just video). You'll need to have to press a button on leading to turn it back on
(-) Cannot pan or zoom
For roughly the same cost, you can get the Summer Perfect View monitor which I also bought (kept each for completely different places). Personally like that a single better due to. It quite substantially addresses all the down falls of this unit getting reviewed: clearer picture, potential to pan zoom and video stays on even when AC not connected. The only thing is that the Finest View can not connect to a bigger Television and only contains the handheld unit. Seriously all you need to have in my opinion even though.
Summer makes fantastic merchandise.
