Consumer Evaluations
I have basically had wonderful good results with the function of this product. The camera works in both light and dark circumstances, and the sound is adequate. That is all I have to say positive about this item. The truth that there was something positive is why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1. I've seen other critiques to the contrary, but this is about my experience.
The negatives are a number of, and appear to mostly be a outcome of a design team that was focused 100% on form, and not at all on function. I have observed some of these challenges in other evaluations, but I assume they are worth repeating.
1) The glowing blue lights. Vivid adequate to light up a space on each the camera and the monitor. Worse but is that the whole monitor face glows brightly anytime the power is on, and then blinks like a neon sign when the unit is charging. I solved the camera portion with some duct tape, but that was impossible on the monitor so I had to open the unit and shatter the LED. Of course this would void the warranty, but I was sick of shopping for monitors.
2) The battery life and indicator. The battery life is brief, and created even shorter with every single second you have the display turned on. This could be helped by a timed off function on the display, but it does not have one.
3) cord length on camera -- unless your outlets are near the ceiling, the length of the cord for the camera severely limits where you can location the camera.
four) volume control - when adjusting the volume, the unit beeps, quite loudly, each time you press the button. If there is sleeping going on, by anyone in the vicinity, it will most likely be interrupted. What is worse is that the beeps are the identical volume regardless of to what level the volume is set. So what is the objective of the beeps? When the display is on there is a volume level indicator, but when it is off there is no indication of what the volume setting is. But you nevertheless have the loud, useless beeps.
five) unstable with cord plugged in -- which is specifically unfortunate given that it has to be plugged in so sometimes.
6) pretty loud beep when the battery runs low -- this basically makes sense, yet I list it as a drawback since of how frequently it is utilized.
7) no indication for level of battery charge - only full or empty. This seems apparent to me.

I definitely enjoy this monitor! My Sony Infant Call monitor was giving me so substantially static, interference and beeping noises that I had to uncover something else. The only unfavorable I can believe of, is that the blue light on the portion with the camera is fairly vibrant in the crib, so I just taped a piece of cardboard more than it. No dilemma! This monitor is worth each penny!
